FAQ's

If my child plays another sport should I enroll him even if he will miss classes due to participation in the other sport?
If a grade-school student has a sincere interest in another sport besides wrestling it is best to encourage him to explore that interest. A student that commits to year-round training in the sport of wrestling should be ready and willing to invest the time and hard work to do so. Playing another sport can serve to reaffirm a student's commitment to the sport of wrestling or help him decide to pursue another sport that he prefers. It is important that kids be allowed to make that choice.

What is the difference between attending various camps / clinics for extra training and attending Dallas Dynamite?
Camps and clinics are useful for learning technique, tune-ups, or gaining exposure to a specific clinician's style, but cannot substitute for consistent, personal training, strategic instruction, and competitive mentoring. It is difficult to get focused, individual attention and quality instruction at some of the large camps and clinics. The training and instruction at Dallas Dynamite is systematic, comprehensive and geared toward establishing and building on a foundation of proper drilling, technique, and form. Moreover, class size is limited to ensure quality instruction and well-matched workout partners for intensity

Why not just join a program that is more local and convenient?
It is human nature to take the easy way out, and that’s exactly what many people do when choosing a wrestling club. If everything was equal that would make a lot of sense; but given the vast difference in our program and its track record of success, why would anyone settle for giving their child second best? Being a success in wrestling is about making a commitment, a sacrifice. The sacrifice is made not only on the mat and on the part of the wrestler, but also by the parents. We like to think we make it well worth the trip, and if you look at where our members come from, it truly seems they also agree.

My son isn’t good enough yet, should we wait until he’s a little better?

No! Do not lose the time he could be using to get better waiting for him to be so called ready. Attending Dallas Dynamite is about learning, not competing. It’s about being the best that you can be however far that takes you. We have students in their first year and first day of wrestling and we have students who are national champions. The sooner our wrestlers start in our program the more successful they seem to become. Waiting until high school isn’t always the best idea, although it’s certainly never too late to improve

I heard only the good guys get attention, is that true?
Absolutely not. We believe every kid deserves attention to help them reach their full potential. As a coaching staff we do our best to insure that each kid is given the right amount of attention.

Why should I send my wrestler to “Dynamite”?

Because you want to give them the best possible opportunity to fulfill their true potential and succeed. With a knowledgeable coaching staff who has competed at every level, there is not one aspect of wrestling we do not know about. We are passionate about growing the sport of wrestling in Texas, and want to help groom and mold young adults on and off the mat.
